Lately I’ve noticed my eyes drawn to pieces that give people just a little peak, a little glimpse at our biggest organ [our skin duh]. Nasty Gal has some great pieces that leave MOST of it to the imagination, but give people a stylish peak at what our mothers gave us. It allows for a sexy vibe without bearing it all to the naked eye.
Thanks Nasty Gal, these are on my hot to trot for 2010 list!!!
you know what guys? I really like Mod Cloth. They have a crazy range of dresses, coats and skirts especially but really, their catalogue is affordable and have a wiiiiiiide variety. So here is what I’m going to get myself started in this spring from the fine people at Mod Cloth.
Just a few.
I can already hear in my mind a lot of people disagreeing with me, but I am loving the new Milly stuff!
It has a working women of the 50’s style to it. The mid waist, the colours, the cut accentuating the female figure. Just classic beauty. Yes this isn’t ground breaking, completely original designs, but sometimes we need a label to be safe in the way where we can rely on it to supersede trend. I think Milly accomplishes that for our spring 2010 closet.
I know I haven’t posted in a while but what better of a comeback then to present these gorgeous Tabitha Simmons Bunt Leather Pumps. Their vintage, pin-up style draws me in, the craftsmanship and genuine dyed and well coloured leather signs me up.
Starting your spring wardrobe with inspiration from these shoes, or any fun shoe that draws you in like these is a good idea. Trust.
How will you ladies and gentlemen be bringing in the New Year?
Will you be presenting the start of a new look for the new year? Trying something new and trendy perhaps. OR, will you be sticking to a faithful look you’ve been donning the whole year or many years?
Ladies,
Will you be Girly?
Wearing a classic feminine, updated pink, strappy outfit. Strappy straps, strappy black pumps. Gold and Shiny accessories for a girls sparkle. Not complicated, simple.
Edgy?
Black Motorcycle boots and leather jacket with a hint of lace and tassles. Simple J brand Dark Jeans.
Trendy?
silk pants, tapered, giving it a late 90’s look, added with the height of the tribute pumps. The mixed textures of this outfit look well thought out and inclusive. Leathers, silks, furs and gold.
Safe?
You really can’t go wrong with a LBD (little black dress) Black pumps and diamonds. No one will accuse you of being under dressed, and wouldn’t you rather be overdressed than under? I think so.
If only Canada would have an talented designer to do something cool like this for us! We just get native art and pictures of queens and boats. [Not that there's anything wrong with those things]
Alber Elbaz designed these postage stamps for the French postal system, La Poste, as part of Lanvin’s 120th anniversary. They’ll be available next year.
Sexiest postage evah.
